The Beach |

Watergate Bay is a beach 1.5 miles of unspoilt perfection 3 miles North of Newquay. Its a large open bay at the bottom of steep cliffs, frequently picking up Atlantic swells and therefore highly popular with surfers. It has excellent Lifeguard facilities from April to September. Lots of rock pools and caves to explore, with great sand for building castles.

Surfing and Kitesurfing are the main watersports for this beach, but many others are also available at the Extreme Acadamy on the beach.
Now home to Jamies Olivers Fifteen Restaurant and The Phoenix Inn, both provide excellent meals to suit everyone.

Looking for a quieter beach for the family ? - something with equal facilities (and refreshments at more reasonable prices) ?
- Try the next bay along the coast - Mawgan Porth.
